James went to medical school at the University of Western Australia. Before working as a general practitioner, he spent his days and nights at Royal Perth Hospital, Midland Public Hospital, and Armadale Kelmscott Memorial Hospital, with a brief stint in Kalgoorlie.
He enjoys the breadth of general practice, with a particular interest in the management of chronic diseases and mental health.
When not working, he loves to read, write, paint, and play music. He does some of these things better than others.
Dr Cheng does not prescribe benzodiazepines or opioids.
