Dr Cathy Irvin is a local graduate who enjoys the diversity of general practice. Over the decades of her general practice career, she has achieved certificates in palliative care, sports medicine, women’s health and health professional’s education and raised three children (now young adults) with her husband. She has previously worked for Silver Chain Home Hospital and also for AGPAL as an accreditation surveyor. 

Cathy remains passionate about teaching and doctor’s health. She continues to supervise medical students and GP registrars at the practice and examines regularly for Curtin University and the RACGP college. Cathy is currently a member of the RACGP, the Australasian Menopause Society, the AMA, and Doctor’s Health WA (DHASWA). 

Her personal interests include regular catchups with friends and family, keeping fit, crafting, cooking, travelling and trying to keep up with the family’s crazy big red dog
